Anti-militancy human chain at varsities, colleges, madrasas today

The teachers, the students and the employees of all public and private universities, colleges and madrasas across the country will form anti-militancy human chains today (Monday).
The one-hour long human chain programme will start at 11am.
Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan hoped that at least 45 to 50 lakh teachers, students and employees would join the programme.
He also called upon the VCs of public and private universities, and principals
of all colleges and madrasas to make the programme successful.
The UGC Chairman announced the programme on July 24.
Vice-Chancellor of World University Professor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury said, the university has been working against any militancy. The teachers, the students and the employees will form human chain on August 1 protesting the recent terror attacks.
Apart from this, five colleges under National University will form human chain at the same time in front of Central Shaheed Minar in the city.
