Commerce Minister and Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed said the people, who do not believe in independence, are now hatching conspiracy against the country under the leadership of BNP.
The commerce minister made the assertion while talking to journalists after paying homage to portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhamondi, House-32 here to mark the 94th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Monday morning.
The people, who had opposed our country and the war of liberation in 1971, are now hatching conspiracy against our nation, said the commerce minister. He, however, urged the people to take a fresh vow to face the conspirators.
He said BNP is now planning to initiate movement against the government after the upazila election, but they will not be successful.
Tofail said the next national elections would be held after five years through negotiations. But BNP’s dream of establishing the caretaker government will never be materialized, he added. He said the rest condemned killers of Bangabandhu will be brought back from abroad to execute the court verdict.
