Chattogram District administration launched special cleaning programmes aimed at resisting Dengue beside the city corporation and the health department . Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Md. Elias Hossain formally inaugurated the campaign at outer stadium adjoining area in the city yesterday afternoon as Chief Guest.
Earlier in the morning , a rally awareing the people about the Dengue brought out from Circuit House Maidan led by Divisional Commissioner Abdul Mannan . Additional Div commissioner Mr. Ranjan Saha, DIG Police Khondakar Golam Faruk, Addl Divisional commissioner Nurul Amin Nizami, Director of Local Govt Deptt Mr. Dipak Chakraborty, officials of District and divisional commissioner office, health deptt , and fire services participated the rally.
Meanwhile , City CXorporation launched the healthcare programs on Dengue begins through opening of Dengue Ward at CCC General Hospital in the city . City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin formally inaugurated the programs yesterday morning. CCC launched crash program to control birth of Adish mosquito through spray programs in 41 wards of the city . Leaflets, miking are underway in the city and called upon the city dwellers to keep their premises neat and clean .
City Mayor informed that Dengue test will be done at CCC General Hospital free of cost.
Besides, Chattogram Medical College Hospital opened three block named Dengue Block consists of Ward No;13, 14 and 16 . Each block will accommodate 20 patients at a time . No. 1 and 2 blocks(Ward 13,16) formally opened for patients and the third block to start soon, hospital sources said. Deputy Director of CMCH Dr. Akhtarul Islam told that so far 27 dengue patients admitted in hospital and they are being given treatment Dengue test will be done here free of cost, he added.
