A mobile court of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Wednesday fined the owner of a building in the upmarket Gulshan-2 neighbourhood Tk 2 lakh after finding Aedes mosquito larvae in a dirty rooftop at Gulshan-2 in the city. DNCC Executive Magistrate Sajid Anwar led the drive at Road No. 44 and found even Aedes larvae amid generally favorable conditions for mosquitoes to breed. The mobile court found many clay pots filled with water, rejected cans, commode and weeds on rooftop. The magistrate fined him under Local Government City Corporation act 2009. The Magistrate said their drives will continue.
