A Dhaka court yesterday (Thursday) placed Ansarullah Bangla Team (media wing) chief Morshed Alam alias Masum on a five-day remand after hearing on a 10-day remand plea.
Magistrate M Hasibul Haque of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court passed the order. Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) police inspector Nibaran Chandra Barman produced Masum to the court with a 10-day remand plea.
During the wee hours of Wednesday, DB of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) nabbed Masum from Kallyanpur area of the capital. Police recovered a laptop, a cell phone of Nokia N-75, a printer, a DVD, several video CDs and books about militancy from the possession of Masum.
