The Ansar-VDP members have been contributing in every sector successfully to accelerate the process of advancement for building a middle income country, speakers said here on Monday afternoon.
They were addressing the union Ansar-VDP rally arranged at Balua Government Primary School premises in Balua Masimpur union under Mithapukur upazila in the district with Balua Masimpur union chairman Moynul Haque in the chair.
District Ansar-VDP Commandant for Rangpur Mahbubur Rahman addressed the rally as the chief guest.
Headmaster of Balua High School Abul Kalam Asad, Mithapukur Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Sheikh Mahfuzar Rahman, Ansar Commander Mizanur Rahman, Upazila Trainer Kohinoor Begum and Union VDP Group Leader Saki Mian addressed the rally, among others.
The union level Ansar-VDP Commanders, its male and female group leaders and members from all over Balua Masimpur union, local public representatives, professionals and elite were present.
The speakers said Ansar-VDP members have been contributing largely building congenial atmosphere for conducting development activities in rural areas through creating mass public awareness and eliminating social crimes.
Members of the country’s biggest volunteer organisation have been helping the rural poor in eradicating poverty by achieving self-reliance for building a middle income digital Bangladesh making the Vision 2021 programme successful.
Besides, the Ansar-VDP members have been creating awareness on threat of spreading HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and disseminating knowledge about family planning, reproductive health and gender discrimination, they said.
