The country’s biggest and well-organised workforce of Ansar-VDP has been playing vital role in building a developed digital Bangladesh through accelerating rural as well as national developments.
Divisional Range Director of Ansar-VDP Dulal Chandra Sarker said this while addressing concluding ceremony of the 10-day basic training course arranged for Ansar-VDP members of Purbo Bari Village Platoon here as the chief guest on Thursday.
District Commander Mahbubur Rahman presided over the ceremony at Rahim Uddin Dakhil Madrasha ground in village Purbo Bari under Sadar upazila.
Regional Manager of Ansar-VDP Bank Tarikul Islam, Manager of its Sadar upazila Branch Moksed Ali Talukder, Principal of the madrasha Moulana Abed Ali, Sadar Upazila Absar-VDP Officer Abdur Rashid, VDP group leaders Sultan Ahmed and Mukta Begum addressed.
Sixty-six Ansar-VDP members of Purbo Bari Village Platoon, including 32 male and 32 female, and their group leaders participated in the training course conducted by five external resource persons.
The resource persons provided trainings and practical knowledge to the participants on different sectors of socioeconomic developments in rural areas under the organisational training programme of the country’s biggest volunteer organisation.
The chief guest said the Ansar-VDP has become the prime driving forces in building a middle income Bangladesh by contributing to the socioeconomic uplift as the biggest volunteer organisation of the country side by side ensuring social peace and security
Side by side alleviating poverty, Ansar-VDP members have been creating awareness to eliminate drug abuse, social discriminations and superstitions in the process of building a poverty-and drug-free developed Bangladesh, he said.
He lauded the Ansar-VDP members for creating public awareness about sanitation, safe motherhood, nutrition, education, agriculture, tree plantation, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases along with maintaining law and order situation.
He asked the Ansar-VDP members for ensuring proper utilisation of the practical knowledge they acquired from the course to achieve economic uplift for their family and accelerate national development to make Vision 2021 successful.
