Bangladesh Ansar (Dhaka Range) will face Tangail Football Academy today in the final of the Dhaka North City Corporation & Dhaka South City Corporation Pioneer Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The match kicks-off at 4.30 pm.
To mark the ensuing gala final, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Saturday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Deputy Chairman of Pioneer Football League Committee Bijon Barua, Social Welfare Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation Khondker Milladul Islam, Official of BRAC Mehedi Sazzad, Coach of Bangladesh Ansar Hasan Al Masud, Captain of Bangladesh Ansar Md Khalil Bhuiyan Saikat, Coach of Tangail Academy Atiqur Rahman Jamil, Captain of Tangail Academy Jubel Mia spoke at the conference.
Hasan Al Masud said, “We are trying hard. We shall try to perform well in the final. We shall try to earn positive result in the final.”
Saikat said, “I am thanking our Coach. All credit belongs to him. We shall try to play our best in the final. We are a balanced side.”
Jamil Said, “We are hopeful that we shall win in the final. But I think no team can win without favour of luck. All the players of our team are totally fit.”
Jubel Mia said, “Tomorrow’s match is very vital for us. After trying hard, we are going to play in the final.”
Before taking the spot in the final, Bangladesh Ansar played 11 matches. They won 10 games while one match ended in a draw. Ansar made a goalless draw with Tangail Football Academy in their Super League clash.
