A member of Bangladesh Ansar, who had allegedly shot dead one of his colleagues at a Khagrhachharhi camp, has been arrested, police say.
Rafiqul Islam was arrested in Dighinala on Saturday afternoon, said local local police OC Shahadat Hossain Titu.
He shot dead Nayek Amir Hossain, 55, after a brawl at Dighinala Upazila’s Headman Parha Ansar Camp on Friday afternoon, local police claimed. Islam deserted the camp with a rifle and 80 rounds of ammunition after the incident. The missing rifle and ammunition were found abandoned near the camp on Saturday.
