Bangladesh Ansar became champions of the Walton 2nd National Women’s Baseball Competition defeating Bangladesh Police by 17-6 points in the final at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city’s Dhanmondi on Sunday. Bangladesh Police finished runners-up of the competition.
Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony, while Secretary of National Sports Council Masud Karim and Head of Sales & Marketing of Radio Today Bulbul Hossain were with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton was present.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups took part in the baseball tournament. Bangladesh Ansar, Khulna Division team, Rangpur Division team, Dhaka Division team were in Group-A, while Bangladesh Police, Mymensingh Division team, Chattogram Division team, Rajshani Division team were in Group-B.
