Bangladesh Ansar emerged champions of the Men’s Group of the Walton Mobile Services Wrestling Competition while Bangladesh Army became champions of the Women’s Group on Tuesday. The wrestling meet was held at the Kabaddi Stadium.
Bangladesh Ansar bagged four gold medals, five silver medals and nine bronze medals while runners-up of the Men’s Group Border Guard Bangladesh gained four gold medals, one silver medal and six bronze medals.
Bangladesh Army, the champions of the Women’s Group collected four gold medals, seven silver medals and two bronze medals while runners-up Bangladesh Ansar achieved two gold medals and four bronze medals.
Champions of Men’s Group and Women’s Group were given Tk fifteen thousand each while the runners-up of Men’s Group and Women’s Group got Tk ten thousand each.
After the competition Executive Director of RB Group SM Zahid Hasan distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Advisor (Administration) of ATN Bangla Mir Md Motahar Hasan and Sports Ambassador of Walton Jobera Rahman Linu were present as special guests.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation (BAWF) and Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn presided over the prize-giving ceremony. General Secretary of BAWF Tabiur Rahman and Joint-Secretary of the Federation Mesbah Uddin Azad were present at the time.
