Another victim who sustained injuries when an ambulance ran over four people inside Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) seven days ago, died on Friday.
The death toll of the ambulance incident now is five.
Ramjan Ali, a rickshaw-puller from Comilla, 30, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing
treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
With the latest, the death toll in the incident rose to five.
On October 15, four people, including a pregnant woman, were killed and three others injured when an ambulance ran them over inside the DMCH.
Three of the deceased were identified as Gulenur Begum, 26, her son Shakib, 7 and six-month pregnant Amena Begum, 28. The fourth victim, a beggar aged about 60, could not be identified.
The ambulance had been hired to carry a corpse from the Emergency Unit of the hospital.
