UNB, Dhaka :Reckless driving has claimed yet the life of another private university student in the city. Sadi Morshed, 20, a BBA second year student of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), was killed as a bus crashed into this motorcycle in the city’s Merul Badda area on Tuesday afternoon.Son of SM Alam, Sadi was residing with his parents at 42 North Kamalapur in the city.Quoting witnesses, police said a ‘Falgun 8’ bus hit the bike of Sadi in front of Asian General Hospital at around 4:30pm while he was returning from his university in Bashundhara Residential Area, leaving him injured.He was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 5:40pm. The body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee the scene. Also on Sunday, another private university student was pinned to death by two buses in the city’s Malibagh area.Mozammel Hossain Kanchan, 24, a final year BBA student of International Islamic University Chittagong’s Dhaka campus and son of Hossain Master of Noakhali, was sandwiched between the two buses – also one of the Falgun-while crossing the road near Mouchak Market in the morning. He was declared dead at the DMCH.
