Another spell of cold week-end

Intensity of cold may increase at the end of this week as mild to severe cold wave sweep over the country, according to a long rage weather forecast of the Met Office source.
A meteorologist told BSS that cold has fallen sharply in the country yesterday due to decrease of night temperature caused by cloudy weather. “We are forecasting that intensity of cold may increase at end of this week after disappearing of clouding weather,” he added.
With the influence of cloudy weather, little rain may occur in different places of the country particularly in coastal areas, he said.
Yesterday’s lowest temperature recorded at 14.3 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur while the highest at 29.4 degrees in Sylhet.
The Met Office said the lowest temperature in most places in northern and southwestern region was recorded between 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.
Dhaka had a maximum of 25.9 C and minimum 20C, Chittagong Maximum 26 C and minimum 20.5C, Khulna maximum 22.2C and minimum 19 C, Barisal maximum 24.2C and minimum 18.8C, Sylhet maximum 29.4C and minimum 19.5C, Rajshahi maximum 28 and minimum 17.3 and Rangpur maximum 28 and minimum 15.6.
Light rain is likely to occur yesterday at many places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at one to two places over Dhaka,  
Rajshahi, Rangpur and Chittagong divisions, a weather bulletin said yesterday.
Light to moderate fog may occur over the river basins of the country during mid night till today morning. Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
