Another Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) member reportedly made his confessional statement before a local court on Thursday over his part in the sensational seven-murder incident.
Senior Judicial Magistrate HM Shafiqul Islam recorded the statement of detained Lance Corporal Ruhul Amin under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Court Police Inspector Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
In his statement, the Rab man told the court that he
was involved in the entire incident-from kidnapping the seven people to killing them, said court sources.
He sprayed the victims with liquid to make them unconscious soon after their abduction in Fatullah on April 27. He, however, said he got involved in the incident for only to carry out the order of his seniors.
A joint team of Narayanganj Detective Branch and Baufal thana police arrested Ruhul from his village house at Saneswar village in Baufal upazila of Patuakhali district on October 7.
Later, he was placed on remand in four phases to interrogate him in connection with the seven murders.
