Bangladesh Women’s Football team made another land-mark in the history of Women’s Football as Bangladesh Under-15 National Women’s Football team clinched the title of the SAFF Women’s Under-15 Championship 2017 beating India Under-15 National Women’s Football team by a solitary goal in the final at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Sunday. Indian Women finished runners-up in the meet.
Shamsunnahar scored the match-decider in the 42nd minute of the play.
Bangladesh made an auspicious start crushing Nepal by 6-0 goals in their opening match of the first phase at the same venue on December 17.
Bangladesh reached the final blanking Bhutan by 3-0 goals in their second match at the same venue on December 19.
Bangladesh maintained their all-win record defeating India by 3-0 goals in their third match at the same venue on December 21.
On the other hand, India started their first phase campaign with a happy note beating Bhutan by 3-0 goals in the first match at the same venue on December 17.
India confirmed their final berth thrashing Nepal by 10-0 goals in their second match at the same venue on December 19.
India conceded a 3-0 goals defeat by Bangladesh in their third match at the same venue on December 21.
Earlier, Bangladesh National Women’s Football team became runners-up in the SAFF Women’s Championship 2017.
Besides, Bangladesh Under-16 National Women’s Football team became champions in the AFC Uncer-16 Qualifiers 2016.
Bangladesh Under-14 National Women’s Football team became champions in the AFC Under-14 Qualifiers 2014 defeating their counterpart Nepal Under-14 National Women’s Football team.
We can say after judging the performance of Bangladesh Women’s Football team that women’s football of Bangladesh is advancing and one day they will put lot of feathers in the crown of Bangladesh’s football.
