BSS, Panchagarh :Another arrested JMB member Harez Ali yesterday gave confessional statement about his involvement with killing of Priest Principal Joggeswar Roy.With this, two out of the six arrested cadres of banned extremist outfit Jama’atul Mujahedeen Bangladesh (JMB) have so far given confessional statements before the learned Judge Marjia Khatun of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-2 of Panchagarh. After recording confessional statements of Harez Ali, the learned Judge ordered for sending him to the jail hajat. Harez was sent to jail hajat at 6.30 pm. With this, five out of six arrested persons have so far been sent to Panchagarh jail hajat.Investigation Officer (IO) Inspector Ayub Ali of Debiganj Thana produced Harez before the court at 1.30 pm yesterday for his confessional statements in connections with the Priest murder case and another case under the Arms and Explosive Substances Acts. The learned Judge first reminded Harez Ali about the fact that his confessional statements might bring death sentence or life term rigorous imprisonment for him and gave him three hours time for thinking before giving his confessional statements.”After thinking for several hours, Harez Ali agreed to give confessional statements when he was taken to the ‘khas kamra’ of the learned Judge at 4 pm and gave his statements for one and a half hour time,” the IO said.Court Inspector Rabiul Islam Khan said the learned Judge ordered for sending Harez to the jail hajat cancelling his 18-day police remand in two cases after recording his confessional statements yesterday.
