Police arrested an accused in a house in Chittagong city’s Sher Shah area yesterday in a case filed for murdering former Bangladesh Chhatra League leader Mehedi Hasan Badal.
Abdul Quddus Bappy alias Kana Quddus, 42, is one of the 22 accused in the case, said Mohamamd Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Bayezid Police Station.
Badal, 40, a Jubo League activist and former president of Chittagong Polytechnic Institute unit BCL, was shot dead by unknown miscreants near his house in Sher Shah area on September 1, 2015.
With Bappy, five persons have so far been arrested in the case.
