Detective Branch of police detained another leader of Hefazat-e-Islam from Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area on Saturday afternoon.
The detainee was identified as Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmed, an assistant secretary general of the Islamist group.
A team of detectives detained him Mohammadpur area.
The drive is still going on, said Asaduzzaman, deputy commissioner (DB) of Motijheel Division Police.
Half a dozen of Hefajat leaders were arrested in last couple of days in connection with cases filed following the mayhem in 2013 and in late march this year.
