Another gas line blast victim dies at DMCH

A woman who along with her husband and daughter sustained burn injuries in a fire from gas line blast at their house at Tipu Sultan Road in the city’s Wari area on November 13 died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Hosne Ara Begum,40. Sources at the DMCH said Hosne Ara Begum, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital burn unit with 45 per cent burn injures, succumbed to the injuries at about 3:00 am.
Earlier on November 14, Alamgir Hossain, husband
 of the deceased, who was undergoing treatment at the DMCH burn unit with 95 per cent burn injures, succumbed to the injuries at the hospital.
On November 13, Alamgir and his wife Hosne Ara Begum, 40, and daughter Sharmin, 21, sustained severe burn injuries in the fire that broke out due to blast of the gas pipeline at their house in the area.
The trio sustained burn injures when the gas pipeline went off with a big bang at their Tipu Sultan Road residence around 12 am. They were rushed to the burn and plastic surgery unit of DMCH. Sharmin sustained burns to 30 per cent of her body.
