Another female doctor died of Dengue fever in the city’s Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital on Thursday night.
She was identified as Dr Tania Sultana, studying FCPS Part-II at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), and breathed her last in the Intensive Care Unit of Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital.
She was also a member of 47th batch of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Aminul Bahar Himon, husband of Tania,
confirmed the matter to the media.
He said thatTania was first admitted to Dhaka Community Medical College Hospital on July 22. Later, she was shifted to the ICU of Modern Hospital on Thursday following deterioration of her physical condition.
It is noted that at least nine persons including three physicians died of the mosquito-borne fever.
Earlier, Nigar Nahid Dipu, a physician of Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, and Habiganj Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Shahadat Hossain Hazra died of Dengue.
