Another brunt victim who was injured in Narayanganj gas explosion died early Tuesday while undergoing treatment at ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn And Plastic Surgery (SHBP).
Death toll now reaches two. Six others of the same family are still under special treatment. Among the sustained victims, two are in critical situation.
Kiron Mia, 45, died at 12:40 am,” doctors and family sources said.
Earlier, Noorjahan, 60, mother of another victim Kiron died at DMCH ICU on Monday noon.
Around eight persons were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after being critically injured in a gas explosion at a flat of Sahebpara of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj.
Kiron Mia suffered 70 percent burns while trying to save his mother Noorjahan Begum from the fire incident on Monday.
Another six persons of the same family who were also injured by the fatal fire incident are undergoing treatment in the burn unit, said DMCH Outpost Inspector Bacchu Miah.
