Another cold wave may sweep next month

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted that another cold wave might sweep the country in the first week of February.
As an extended outlook of the next 72 hours, the bulletin of the met office predicted that rain or thundershower is likely to take place in at some places of the country.
The met office said that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over some areas of Bangladesh, said a Met office bulletin issued in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
It said that moderate to thick fog may strike country’s northwestern part and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over Bangladesh from late night to Sunday morning.
It, however, said that the cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal, Sreemangal and Rangamati.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 29.2°C in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar district, while Saturday’s lowest temperature was 6.4°C at Tetulia of Panchagarh district.
The sun set at 5:39pm on Saturday in Dhaka, and rose at 6:42am on Sunday.
