Another case has been filed against Helena Jahangir with Pallabi Police Station in the capital.
An inspector of Rapid Action Battalion-4 lodged the case under the Telecommunication Act on Friday night.
ASP ANM Imran Khan, senior assistant director of RAB’s Legal And Media Wing, confirmed the matter early Saturday, according to news agencies. He said with this, the elite force has filed a total of three cases with Gulshan and Pallabi Police Stations against her.
Helena Jahangir, who has recently been relieved of Awami League Women Affairs sub-committee, was arrested by RAB at about 12:15am on Friday after four hours of raid into her Gulshan residence.
The elite force members seized foreign liquor, illegal walkie-talkie sets, casino equipment and deer skins during the raid.
The RAB also raided and sealed off Joyjatra IPTV.
Later, a Metropolitan Magistrate placed her on a three-day remand in a case filed against her under the Digital Security Act (DSA).
