Staff Reporter :Being failed to get ransom, some criminals murdered a 12-year old boy at village Bhomordanga in Kotchadpur upzila of Jhenaidha district in the early hours of Monday.The victim was identified as Mohammad Miraz Uddin, a student of Class-III of Buzruk Gargari Darul Ulum Madrassa in Jhenaidah sadar. Police on Monday recovered body parts from a maize field. Miraz was abducted on Sunday night while he was returning home after attending a local function. The incident took place just after one day of the recovery of a decomposed body of Abu Sayeed, 9, a student of Class-IV, who was kidnapped on Wednesday. Police recovered the body from the house of a constable at Jharnapar in Sylhet on Sunday. Officer-in-Charge of Kotchadpur Police Station Saidul Islam Shaheen told The New Nation on Monday that the criminals kidnapped Miraz while he was returning home after attending a function on Sunday night.”After the abduction, the criminals demanded Taka one lakh from Mahor Ali, father of Miraz over cell phone. Mahor Ali lodged a case with the Kotchadpur Police Station,” the OC said.He said the criminals killed Miraz on Sunday night and left his body on the maize field. Local people spotted the body of Miraz and informed police. Police recovered the body around 9:00am and sent it to sadar hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, police recovered the body of an eight year old boy from a passenger bus in city’s Kakoli area on Monday evening.Khalid Saifullah, a Sub-Inspector of Banani Police Station said the body was kept inside a travel bag in the bus. “It was a decomposed body. As the bad odor was spreading inside the bus, all the passengers got down and informed us. As we opened the travel bag we found the decomposed body of the boy,” he said.Police apprehended that the boy was kidnapped and later murdered.The driver and helper of the bus were detained in this connection, he said.The driver told the police that a passenger along with a travel bag boarded the bus from the airport bus stoppage but they could not notice when the said passenger disappeared.
