Another Bangladeshi has been tested positive for coronavirus in Singapore on Tuesday, Bangladesh High Commissioner Md Mustafizur Rahman told UNB on Wednesday.
The patient is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, he said.
Bangladesh on Sunday confirmed that one of its citizens working in Singapore had been diagnosed with the new virus, now known as COVID-19.
Mustafizur said the source of infection for both Bangladeshi workers seems to be the same, which is, their work place at Selatir Aerospace Height.
“We’re in touch with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Manpower and the NCID hospital,” he said.
Novel coronavirus, which spread from China’s Wuhan, has so far killed more than 1,100 people and infected over 45,000 others.
It is also having a severe impact on the global trade and economy.
