Another 56,500 doses of Pfizer vaccine have arrived in Chattogram. The vaccines were brought in a freezer van at the Chittagong Civil Surgeon’s Office at 9pm on Wednesday.
District Civil Surgeon’s Office Medical Officer. Wazed Chowdhury Avi said the Pfizer vaccine that came at night has been taken. The vaccines are specially stored in the EPI Cold Store. These vaccines will be provided at specific centers later.
In the city, only Chittagong General Hospital, City Corporation General Hospital and Bandar Hospital are being vaccinated against Pfizer. In addition, students between the ages of 12 and 18 are also expected to be vaccinated once the vaccination program begins.
Earlier, on October 11, for the first time, 16,360 doses of Pfizer vaccine came from America for the people of Chittagong. Pfizer vaccination started from October 16 in Chittagong metropolis.
