Once Anonna Ruma acted in plays under the group theatre, Natya Chokro. Her acting was appreciated in plays like Bhoddornoke and Tontu Khunjchhey Bondhu. It was from 2002 to 2004. Before that in 2002, she secured the fourth position in Binodon-Bichitra Photo Beauty contest.
In the small screen, in which play Ruma first acted she could not remember now. But she can easily recall the memory of her first performed TV commercial. Ruma first performed in a TVC of Mortin under the direction of Saidul Anam Tutul. Later she also performed as a model in TVCs of Magi Noodles, Cocola Noodles, etc.
Five years ago, Ruma last acted in a telefilm titled Proti Nayika under Lutfunnahar Moushumi which story is based on Imadadul Haq Milon’s written a novel.
After five years she also acted in a serial titled Tumi Ashbe Boley under Lutfunnahar Moushumi’s direction.
While talking about her present career in media Anonna Ruma told this correspondent, “After a long time, I acted in the small screen. In fact, after long time I really felt something unknown to me in front of the camera.
But everybody of the unit cooperated me a lot. Basically I started my career in showbiz to become an actress but due to engagement with Channel i now I couldn’t continue acting later. I remain a flipside person of camera.”
November 6 is birthday of Anonna Ruma. She informed that she will pass the day like other days. Hailed from Chouddagram of Comilla Ruma is now working as Programme Manager at Channel i. Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Charuibhati, Ali Fida Ekram Tojo’s Love You Dad, Belal Ahmed’s Torik Ali Hadari, etc are her acted mentionable TV plays. She is daughter of MA Rouf and Rahima Begum. Shoma is her only sister.
