The Annual Tennis Competition and Squash Competitions of Bangladesh Navy were concluded at the Tennis & Squash Complex in Isha Khan Base of BNS, Chattogram on Wednesday.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury witnessed the competitions on the concluding day (Wednesday) and distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Commander SM Mejbah Uddin and Commander Imtiaz Uddin Md Sabbir duo emerged as the champions in the doubles event of the Tennis Competition beating Rear Admiral M Lokmanur Rahman and Commander M Anisur Rahman duo in the final by 6-4, 6-1 points.
In the singles event of the Tennis Competition, Captain M Abdul Wadud Tarafder became champion and Lieutenant Commander Kazi Shakur Mahmud finished runner-up.
In the veteran doubles event of the Tennis Competition, Rear Admiral M Lokmanur Rahman and Captain M Abdul Wadud Tarafder duo became champions defeating Commodore M Banazir Mahmud and Captain Abdul Latif duo by 6-2 points in the final. Meanwhile, in the Squash Competition, Commodore M Jamil Hossain became champion and Captain MM Rahman finished runner-up.
The high officials of Bangladesh Navy enjoyed the competitions and were present at the prize-giving ceremony.
