The annual conference of the deputy commissioners has been deferred due to some unavoidable circumstances, confirmed a top official of the Cabinet Division.
The three-day long conference was scheduled to be held on January 11.”Due to some unavoidable circumstances, it has been deferred. However, it will be held some time next month,” the official said.
The new date may be declared on Sunday, he said.
DC Conference is an annual meeting of the heads of district administrations with policymakers of the government aimed at discussing policy matters and development strategies to gear up the field level administration.
Due to the pandemic, the conference did not take place in 2020 and 2021. It was last held in July 2019.
