The Supreme Court administration on Wednesday issued a notification asking the judges of the subordinate courts across the country to deliver their all ad interim orders including the bail and verdicts in the open court in the presence of the parties concerned or their lawyers.
Md Golam Rabbani, Registrar of the High Court division of the Supreme Court, issued the notification with the instruction of the higher authority.
The High Court Bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahima and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman in a verdict delivered on September 2, 2021 asked the lower court judges to announce their all ad interim orders including bail orders and verdicts in the open court in the presence of the parties concerned or their lawyers to ensure transparency and accountability, said the notification.
In this circumstance, all the judges of the lower courts have been directed to follow the directions mentioned in the judgment of the High Court, also read the notification.
The High Court Bench by that order cancelled a lower court order that granted bail to suspended deputy inspector general (DIG) prisons Partha Gopal Banik in an “unusual manner” in a case filed over the recovery of Tk 8.0 million from his residence in Dhaka.
The High Court at the same time asked the suspended official to surrender in the trail court by September 20 this year. It also ordered to transfer the case to the speedy trail tribunal-4 in Dhaka and asked the tribunal to complete the case by February 28 in 2022.
