Anniv of ‘Hridoye Mati O Manush’ celebrated

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University (DIU) celebrated the 12th anniversary of the popular agricultural TV programme “Hridoye Mati O Manush” of Channel i and accorded reception to its pioneer Shykh Seraj on Monday at its auditorium.
The main activities of the event include holding a discussion on the role of the programme in sustainable agricultural development of Bangladesh followed by a keynote, open-discussion and honoring Seraj as a mark of his outstanding contribution to the nation.
Profssor Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), attended the programme as the chief guest while Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of DIU was present as the guest of honor.
Chairperson of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Mofizur Rhaman was present as special guest on the occasion.
Eminent Prof of DU MCJ Sakhawat Ali Khan contributed to the event as the key discussant with Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Daffodil International University Prof Yousuf M Islam in the chair.
A large number of students, faculty members, Deans, Head of the Departments and other high officials were present at the programme.
Later, students of Journalism and Mass Communication Department of the university took part in an interactive question-answer session based on development reporting on agriculture.
