Ankhi Alamgir is country’s one of the most popular singers in the stage shows. Her schedules for stage shows remain round the year. Besides stage shows, Ankhi has to remain busy with releasing her new original songs.
The singer informed that this month she has busy schedules for stage performances. But coming Eid-ul-Azha, she is going to release her new original song titled Pagol Banaili on the occasion of Eid festival. Mahmud Arefin Rumi wrote lyrics of the song while Shahriar Rafat has composed its music. The song will be released on a YouTube channel on the occasion of Eid.
While talking about her upcoming new original song, Ankhi Alamgir said, “Pagol Banaili is a nice song. Basically it is a party song. I have liked lyrics and tunes of this song. Earlier, I had experience to render song under Rafat’s composition. He has composed my rendered duet song titled Shironame tumi amar. Rafat also lent his voice with me in that song. But Pagol Banaili is absolutely different from that song. I hope everybody will enjoy the song.”
Lyricist of the song Rumi shared his feelings by this way, “The song Pagol Banaili got life in voice of respected Ankhi Apu. Rafat Bhai has composed tunes and music of the song so nicely. I believe the song will be liked by everyone.”
Ankhi said she has also lent her voice for another new original song under noted music composer Mannan Mohammad’s composition. Keno Eto Bhoy was Ankhi rendered her last released song. Composed by Bappa Mazumder, lyrics of this song were written by Maruf Hasan. Singer and music composer Bappa Mazumder gave direction of music video of this song, which was released on Bappa’s YouTube channel recently.
It is noted that Ankhi Alamgir is the country’s only singer who got the National Film Awards for acting and music. During childhood, she got the National Film Award for acting in Amzad Hossain’s Bhat Dey as a child artiste.
Then she got the National Award for rendering song titled Golpo kothar oi kolploloker kotha jani, which music was composed by legendary singer Runa Laila and lyrics were written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar, for her father, noted film actor Alamgir directed movie Ekti Cinemar Golpo.
