Popular singer Ankhi Alamgir has been engaged with stage performances round the year. But on her birthday on January 7 she never keeps any schedule to perform. On this day she basically gives time to her family, parents and children.
On January she returned to Bangladesh and later took part in show in Chittagong. From there she is expected to return to Dhaka to pass time with her family on the occasion of her birthday.
While talking about her round the year performances Ankhi told this correspondent, “It is Allah’s blessing that I have to be engaged with stage shows round the year. Basically stage performances are become part of my life very closely. Now many persons can get update posts on Facebook but I have been performing on stage from many years. I have to move here and there frequently for performing music. Fans and music lovers want to enjoy my performance. So, I always remain ready for performance. I always want to be engaged with my works.” Meanwhile, tomorrow’s morning flight Ankhi is going to Kolkata. She will perform in Bangladesh Festival in Kolkata’s Jodhpur Park on January 8.
Ankhi last gave her voice for a play-back song in her father Alamgir directed movie Ekti Cinemar Golpo under Runa Laila’s music composition which lyrics were written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar.
Therefore, within very short time, she will also give voice in Shawkat Ali Emon, JK Majlish and Kishore Das’ music composition. But she cannot give time for it due to her engagement with different stage shows.
