In the beginning of current year popular singer Ankhi Alamgir performed in Utsab at Jodhpur Park in Kolkata.
In the meantime, she also went to Kolkata for several times.
On December 14, she got the opportunity to perform as a leading singer of Bangladesh at outdoor pool of the Kolkata Swimming Club organized by the club which was established in 1887. Ankhi performed two and half hours in the programme.
She rendered the songs like Bokamon, Jol Pore Pata Nore, Damadam Maskalander, etc.
Ankhi shared her feelings by this way, “Though 90 per cent members of the club are non-Bengalee so I had to render foreign language based songs rather than Bengali songs in the programme. They were enthralled by my performance. It is really a pride for me to get the opportunity to perform in such an aristocratic club in Kolkata. I am grateful to the organizers.”
Ankhi also mentioned that within very soon she is coming with a new song. She has already finished its music video. She expected to release the song in New Year.
