Anjan Dutt who floated the Byomkesh franchise in Tollywood way back in 2008-09 is once again serving a major role in Syantan Ghosal’s new Byomkesh film based on Sharadindu Bandopadhyay’s story Magna Mainak. He is the creative supervisor and screenplay writer of Satyanweshi Byomkesh which is the first in a series of five films. After Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta, it will be Parambrata Chatterjee as the iconic sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi. While Rudranil Ghosh will play Ajit, Gargee Roy Chowdhury essays the role of Satyabati.
