Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday underscored the need for concerted efforts of all to prevent human trafficking.
“Human trafficking and migrant smuggling cannot be prevented by a single organization or an agency or entity rather concerted effort of all concerned is required in this regard,” he said, reports BSS.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a training workshop on national and international legal framework on human trafficking and problems arising in its practice at a city hotel, a press release said.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Law and Justice Division of Ministry of Law in Bangladesh jointly organized the workshop with the participation of 22 judges of Women and Child Abuse Suppression Tribunal, the release added.
Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwer presided over it.
