All singers have dream to render playback songs for movies. Somebody’s this dream comes into true very quickly while some others take more times. There are some singers who do not get the scope to lend their voices for playback songs. In this case, one of the top 10 singers of ‘Channel i-Khudey Gaanraj 2009’ contest, Ananya Acharya’s dream came into true for lending her voice for playback songs in Arun Chowdhury directed movie Mayaboti. She got the opportunity to render five songs for this movie.
Recently the singer has rendered three playback songs for two movies. Ananya said that she has rendered a Lalon song in Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar’s movie Tungiparar Dussahoshi Khoka’ and Aminul Islam Bachchu directed and his composed two songs titled Jhoira Jhoira Pore and Poran Bondhu. Nirjhar Chowdhury and Shahriar Rafat also lent their voices with Ananya in these two songs respectively. These two movies are waiting to get release dates. Therefore, Ananya’s original song titled Monto Monei Chhilo is going to release soon. Composed by Shoeb Shibly, Sheikh Nazrul wrote lyrics of this song. Meanwhile, Ananya rendered a song titled Tumi Chole Jabar Por is going to air on BTV soon. Dr Bishwajit Roy wrote lyrics of the song and also composed its tunes.
While talking about rendering three playback songs for two movies, Ananya Acharya said, “It is really something special to me to render playback songs for movies. In think rendering a playback song a singer can easily reach into the minds of the viewers. Many movies became hit due to its playback songs. For this reason, while rendering playback song I render joyfully as listeners can hear good song and interest to Bengali song will increase. I also like to render modern songs. I have an exceptional liking to render modern songs. There is a scope to explore originality of own voice. In fact, I feel comfortable in playback songs and also find myself in original songs.”
It is noted that Ananya Acharya is now studying in Classical Music in Third Year at Department of Music of Jagannath University. The Classical Music section is running by Ali FM Rezwan, Mahmudul Hasan and Jerina Ahmed. Jhumur Ahmed is the present Chairman of the Department of Music at Jagannath University. Ananya also informed that on August 12, she will perform Kirtan of Chandidas composed by Dr Bishwajit Roy at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka.
