A half-day hartal was observed peacefully in metropolitan area of Sylhet On Wednesday. .Sylhet Ganajagaran Mancha on Tuesday called the shutdown from 6:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday as a protest of the murder of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.
In the beginning of hartal, pickets took position in Court Point area. Later, they brought out a procession. After parading different roads, the procession ended in front of Surma Market.
Besides, a group of Ganajagaran Mancha activists took position in city’s Zindabazar area.
