Anamul Haque scores 1000 runs in DPL Cricket

Opener Anamul Haque of Prime Bank Cricket Club scored 1000 runs in a year of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket. Anamul is the first batter, who scored 1000 runs in DPL Cricket in a season.
Anamul reached the 70-run landmark to reach the 1000-run Club in a year of DPL Cricket. He is the first batter of Bangladesh who scored 1000 runs in a List-A category cricket competition. Anamul has now 1042 runs in his account. Amamul used a delivery of Nahid of Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club to score 70 runs during a Super League match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground-4 in Savar on Tuesday. After getting the List-A category no batter could score 1000 runs in a year in DPL Cricket. Anamul is the first batter, who scored 1000 runs in DPL Cricket. After scoring thousand runs in DPL Cricket, Anamul Haque celebrated his unique record. He took off his helmet and raised his hands to celebrate his wonderful record.
Anamul Haque notched up three centuries and eight half-centuries in this year’s DPL Cricket. Anamul hit 112 runs using 84 balls against Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club on Tuesday.
Before yesterday’s match, Anamul Haque started his innings with his previous 930 runs. He has kept his form and scored more 70 runs to reach the 1000-run landmark. Anamul played 14 matches to write this record.
Earlier, right-arm opener Saif Hassan had the highest score in a season of DPL Cricket. Saif Hassan of Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club scored 814 runs playing 16 matches in the year of 2018 and 2019 season of DPL Cricket. He notched up three centuries and four half-centuries to score that runs.
Besides, left-arm opener Mohammad Naim of Legends of Rupganj scored 807 runs in the DPL Cricket this year. Before getting List-A status, Kenyan Steve Tikolo of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited scored 1227 runs playing 16 DPL matches in the year of 2001. His average was 94.
