Rasel Zomaddar (30), an expatriate of Saudi Arabia and son of one Ruhul Amin Zomaddar of village Dakkhin Khada under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district met his tragic end on Monday while he was trying to install a water pump run by electricity in his pond.
Ill-fated Rasel Zomaddar returned home from Sadudi Arabia only one month ago. Md. Tasen Talukdar, the local UP member disclosed, on the day the deceased was installing a power pump machine in his own pond. But at that time he, somehow, came with the contact of a live electricity wire without his knowledge and fell ill.
He immediately admitted to the local Upazila Health Complex for his treatment. But considering his precarious condition he was shifted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where he expired at the following night.
Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola Police Station said Rasel Zomaddar was buried in the family graveyard on the following day without postmortem by permission of an Executive Magistrate.
