An educationist passes away

Prof. Mohammad Ghulam Rasul, a renowned and retired teacher of English department of Bagerhat Govt. P C College died on Wednesday
He was 80.
He breathed his last at 2pm in an ambulance in Manikganj district on his way to Dhaka
Prof. Mohammad Ghulam Rasul left behind one son, one daughter, grand children and host of relatives, friends, students and admirers to mourn his death.
He was well behaved, pious, kind and generous all through of his life in the true sense of the term.
He was laid to eternal rest in his native village on the following day.
After obtaining his Master Degree in English from the University of Dhaka he joined Bagerhat Govt. P C College as a lecturer in English department in the year 1962 and retired from the service as a Professor in the year 1996. He also served Govt. B L College, Khulna for 2 years.
He was an erudite scholar and well versed in both English and Bengali literatures.
He was a popular, dedicated and sincere teacher to his students all through his teaching life. He was known in the college as a living dictionary among teachers and students.
After his retirement he used to live in his native village Parnanduli under Sadar Upazila in Magura district.
His father Mohammad Ghulam Mostafa was a teacher of a secondary school. One day before of his death he fell ill.
