Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said on Sunday that legal measures would be taken against those trying to create anarchy by hurting people’s religious sentiment in the country.
Amu made the statement at a news briefing after a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on law and order at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“A group of people are involved in creating anarchy and provoking people by hurting religious sentiments. The trouble mongers were given warning earlier, now legal action will be taken against them if they continue to do so,” he said.
The minister, who is a member of the ruling Awami League’s Advisory Council, said the law enforcing agencies have collected information about some people involved in financing militants.
Amu said legal action would be taken against them too.
