Amu seeks Albanian investment in BD

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu today sought direct or joint investments from Albanian entrepreneurs and investors in Bangladesh industrial sectors.
“The incumbent government will establish 100 Economic Zones within next 15 years to attract foreign investors,” he said while participating in a meeting with an Albanian delegation led by Pellumb Salillari, Chief Executive Officer of Salillari Limited, at the office of the industry ministry, said a press release.
The minister said the government is establishing special economic zones for investors of different countries including India, Japan, China and Korea.
He also assured the Albanian team of proving similar opportunities to Albanian investors if they come forward to invest in Bangladesh.
The Albanian company evinced keen interest in investing in the country’s infrastructural developments like construction of roads and highways, railways, dredging of rivers and modernization of port management.
Hailing their interests, Amir Hossain Amu said there is a congenial environment for investment in the country as the government has been working relentlessly to make the country an investment hub.
