Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Monday night to present at the signing of an agreement with the Saudi Standards, Quality and Metrology Organization (SASO).
The agreement between Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and SASO, Saudi Arabian national standard body, would be signed on March 1 (today). Apart from attending the signing ceremony, Amu would meet Saudi Commerce and Industry Ministers to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The Bangladeshi minister would meet with the leaders of Council of Saudi Chamber, a platform of entrepreneurs, to increase Saudi investment in Bangladesh. BSTI Director General Iqramul Haque would accompany him to Saudi Arabia.
