Amu leaves for Geneva

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu left here on Sunday for Geneva to present a report on review on investment policy of Bangladesh on Tuesday. According to an official release of the industries ministry, Director-General of UNCTAD will deliver the welcome address at the daylong programme, to be organised by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). High profile delegations of UNCTAD member countries, diplomats, investors and private sector entrepreneurs, among others, will participate in the discussion on the investment policy of Bangladesh.
It is expected that the meeting will help open new doors of foreign investment in Bangladesh, the press release said. The minister will lead a five-member delegation during his five-day Geneva visit.
The other members of the delegation are Joint Secretary Begum Afroza Khan, Deputy Secretary M Fahimul Islam, Senior Assistant Secretary M Mizanur Rahman and Deputy Director of Board of Investment (BOI) M Ariful Haq.
