Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Saturday condoled the death of Dr Alamgir Hossain, health affairs secretary of Nalchity upazila Awami League in Jhalakathi.
Amu, who is now visiting Canada, in a condolence message said, Alamgir was a genuine friend of Nalchity and its people.
“He played a major role in providing health services to poor and underprivileged people in the locality. The upazila has lost a dedicated social activist in the untimely death of Alamgir,” the message said.
The minister also conveyed his deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul.
