South African right handed opening batsman Hashim Amla is keen to play more cricket for South Africa despite the recent rough phases of his career.
South Africa are out of the semi finals of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. They were totally in a bad rhythm right from the start of the tournament. Specially their senior players Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, David Miller are totally in poor form which has pushed the team into a bad situation.
The opening batsman Hashim Amla is not in his prime rhythm not only in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 but also in the recent series he played for South Africa both in colour clothes as well as white clothes.
His recent form has created some speculations over his retirement from the game as some of his teammates are retiring at the end of the tournament, in the likes of Imran Tahir and JP Duminy.
When Amla was asked about this matter, he said he wants to spend some more time in the middle.
On being asked whether he wants to carry on, he replied, “If selected.”
