Abrar murder: Amit, Tanvir remanded again Toha sent to jail

A Dhaka court on Thursday placed two accused of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar murder case on three-day remand each and sent another to jail on completion of their five-day remand in the case.
Khandaker Tabakhk-harul Islam Tanvir of BUET’s Mechanical Engineering batch-17 and Amit Saha of Civil Engineering batch-16 have been remanded for three days while Hossain Mohammad Toha of Mechanical Engineering Department was sent to jail. The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sayeed passed the order after Md Wahiduzzaman, Inspector of Detective Branch (DB) of police and also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced them before the court. The DB official prayed for seven-day remand for both Amit and Tanvir. Abrar Fahad, a second-year-student of the BUET’s Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department, was beaten to death allegedly by some BCL men on the campus on October 7.
