In 1996, Amit Hasan, Shabnaz and Bapparaz-starrer super-hit movie ‘Prem-er Somadhi’ was released. Story of the film, acting of three lead actors and play-back songs created hype among the film-lovers during that time. After passing 24 years, viewers are recalling memories of that film till now. To celebrate two eras of releasing the film, three actors met in a get-together party recently. They recalled their memories in this regard.
While talking about the film Shabnaz said, “I could not realize how I have passed 24 years of releasing the movie. I got huge response for acting in film ‘Prem-er Somadhi.’ Still now when anybody finds me they want to discuss about the film and my character ‘Hena.’ It is really good to hear those stories. This film is a milestone of the country’s film industry. It is really a liking matter that viewers still like to talk about this film. As co-actors, Amit Hasan and Bapparaj co-operated me a lot. We enjoyed a lot during taking part in shooting of the film. When we recall those days’ memories we really become nostalgic. We are grateful to the viewers because they enjoyed the movie going to cinema halls. Otherwise, ‘Prem-er Somadhi’ could not become super-hit during that time.”
Directed by Iftekhar Jahan, Delwar Jahan Jhontu wrote story, script and dialogue of the film. ‘Jiboner Nouka choley hele duley,’ ‘Prem-er Somadhi Bhengey,’ ‘Tumi Bondhu Aamar Chirosukhey Thako’ are popular songs of this film. Three other actors of this film – Anwar Hossain, Dildar and Antora- are demised now. ATM Shamsuzzaman and Gangua also acted in this film.
